Since the beginning of the year, Azerbaijani judokas have won 94 awards in the international arena.
Idman.biz reports that, according to the "Judobase" portal, which records the results of teams at the level of adults, youth, cadets and veterans, our athletes have won 21 gold, 25 silver and 48 bronze medals since the beginning of the season.
The last productive tournament was the European Cup held in Gori, where our athletes climbed to the podium four times, winning one gold, two silver and one bronze medal.
The main part of the results are performances in the World Tour. At the "Grand Slam" tournaments, our judokas added 17 medals to their score (4-4-5).
Azerbaijan is in 13th place in the overall medal standings.
France leads with 64 gold, 37 silver and 80 bronze medals. Brazil (61-47-77) and Georgia (55-54-60) follow.
