Azerbaijani judokas won 2 more medals on the third day of the European Veterans Championship held in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Judo Federation that Zulfiya Huseynova (F-6, 70 kg), the only female representative in the continental tournament, became the European champion by defeating all her rivals with ippon.
Samir Ismayilov (73 kg), who competed in the M-1 age category, took third place and won a bronze medal.
Earlier, Farhad Rajabli (M-8, 90 kg), Babek Hajiyev (M-4, 60 kg), Vagif Kerimov (M-4, 73 kg), Emil Huseynov (M-4, 100 kg) won gold medals, and Samir Ismayilov (M-3, 81 kg) won a bronze medal.
It should be noted that the team, which currently has 7 medals (5 gold, 2 bronze), ranks 4th among men in the competition among 37 countries, and 5th in the overall team standings.
