An Azerbaijani judoka won a gold medal at the Grand Prix held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Kanan Nasibov, competing in the +100 kg weight category, won a gold medal by defeating all his opponents. He defeated Dutch athlete Jur Spijkers by ippon in the final.
Vugar Talibov, who competed in the 90 kg weight category, won a bronze medal by defeating his teammate Aslan Kotsoev in the match for third place.
It should be noted that Huseyn Allahyarov (60 kg) had previously won a bronze medal.
Thus, Azerbaijan, winning 1 gold and 2 bronze medals, took fifth place in the overall team standings among 48 countries, and fourth place in the men's competition.
