Azerbaijani judokas will participate in the "Grand Slam" tournament in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
"Report" informs that the competition will be held from February 27 to March 1, according to the calendar of the International Judo Federation.
The men's national team will be represented at the tournament by 19 judokas (12 men, 7 women) in 12 weight categories under the leadership of head coach Richard Trautmann, senior coaches Elchin Ismayilov, Robert Kravchik, and the women's national team under the leadership of head coach Amina Abdellatif and coach Imarverdi Mammadov.
380 athletes (213 men, 167 women) from 40 countries will compete in the three-day competition.
Nazim Umbayev, a judge of the "A" category with an international degree, a member of the judging panel of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, will be among the representatives of justice in the competition held in the World Tour series.
