Azerbaijani judokas will start competing today in the "Grand Slam" tournament to be held in Paris, the capital of France.
According to "Report", three athletes will enter the tatami on the first day of the competition.
Balabay Aghayev (60 kg) will face the winner of the pair Kim Hwasu (South Korea) - Francisco Garrigos (Spain) in the 1/16 final stage.
Nazir Talibov in the same round will face the stronger of Miguel Gago (Portugal) - Erbol Abasbekov (Kyrgyzstan), Ruslan Pashayev (both 66 kg) will face the stronger of Yusuf Nurkovic (Montenegro) - Bence Pongracz (Hungary) duel.
It should be noted that the "Grand Slam" will end on February 8. Azerbaijan is represented in the competition by eight judokas.
