The World Youth Judo Championships will start today in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
According to the "Report" employee sent to the tournament, the winners in four weight categories will be determined on the first day of the competition.
Medalists will be determined in 50 and 55 kg for boys, 40 and 44 kg for girls.
From the representatives of Azerbaijan, Gulshan Huseynova in the 44 kg weight category will wrestle with Yana Pritulyak (Romania) in the 1/16 finals, and Khadija Abdullayeva will wrestle with Aynara Seitjanova (Kazakhstan) in the same round.
From the boys, Rza Khalil will face Tsvetelin Martinov (Bulgaria) in the 1/16 finals, and Anar Guliyev (both 50 kg) will face the winner of the Narek Davtyan (Armenia) / Dikqang Kwadibana (Botswana) pair.
Finally, Rasul Alizade will clarify relations with Badar-Ugan Badamdorj (Mongolia) in the 1/16 finals, and Mahammadali Huseyn (both 55 kg) will clarify relations with Victor Hugo Silva (Brazil).
Note that the individual competition in the World Championship will end on August 30. The mixed team competition will take place on August 31.
