The Azerbaijani national team completed the judo competitions of the XVIII European Youth Summer Olympic Festival (EYOF), held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, with 8 medals.
"Report" informs, citing the press service of the Judo Federation, that Subhan Akhundov (+90 kg) was the last of the judokas to rise to the honorary podium.
He won a bronze medal by defeating Czech representative Melichar Skoda with a waza-ari score in the match for third place.
The Azerbaijani national team became the champion of the Festival's judo competitions in the overall team score with 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
It should be noted that earlier in EYOF-2025, our judokas Gulshan Huseynova (-44 kg), Rza Khalili (-50 kg), Rasul Alizadeh (-55 kg) won gold, Nurana Hajizadeh (-48 kg), Zeyd Alasgarov (-60 kg) won silver, and Aysun Mammadova (-52 kg) and Muhammad Agakishiyev (-73 kg) won bronze medals.
