The World Junior Judo Championship started today in Lima, the capital of Peru.
Idman.biz reports that six athletes from the Azerbaijani national team entered the tatami on the first day of the competition.
Nihad Mamishov and Farid Garayev (both - 60 kg), Mammad Musayev and Nizami Imranov (both - 66 kg), as well as Aydan Valiyeva and Khadija Gadashova (both - 52 kg) joined the fight.
Farid Garayev and Nizami Imranov won their first matches, while Khadija Gadashova lost to her opponent.
The tournament will last until October 7.
