The European Judo Cup among juniors has ended in Ganja.
Idman.Biz reports that on the second day of the competition, medals were played in eight weight categories - four among boys and four among girls.
43 athletes represented the Azerbaijani team on the last day of the tournament. Yusif Nazar (73 kg) and Yaqub Mammadov (81 kg) won gold medals. Sadiq Mammadov (73 kg) won a silver medal for our team.
Bronze medals were won by Akif Mammadli (73 kg), Polad Hasanli and Amin Mehdiyev (both 81 kg), Omar Akhundov and Nureddin Aliyev (both 90 kg), Huseyn Huseynov and Tamerlan Aliyev (both +90 kg), as well as Masuma Mammadli (70 kg).
In total, at the end of the tournament, Azerbaijani judokas won 24 medals - three gold, five silver and 16 bronze.
It should be noted that 269 judokas from 10 countries competed in the competition.
