The judokas who will represent our country at the III CIS Games have been determined. Sport24.az reports that the Judo Federation has released information about this.
28 judokas (16 boys, 12 girls) in 16 weight categories will represent Azerbaijan in the tournament.
From the girls, Sunay Salamova (40 kg), Gulshan Huseynova, Khadija Abdullayeva (both 44 kg), Leyla Alakbarova, Narmin Agamirzazade (both 48 kg), Aysun Mammadova (52 kg), Nazakat Valiyeva, Gulnaz Mammadtagiyeva (both 57 kg), Aydan Aliyeva (63 kg), Fidan Jalilli, Masuma Mammadli (both 70 kg), Zemfira Aliyeva (+70 kg) will compete on the tatami.
From the boys, Devid Mahmudov, Anar Guliyev (both 50 kg), Ibrahim Talibov, Mammadali Huseynov (both 55 kg), Zeyd Alasgarov, Royal Gayibov (both 60 kg), Huseyn Huseynov, Fakhri Sahibzade (both 66 kg), Sadiq Mammadov, Yusif Nazar (both 73 kg), Muhammad Agakishiyev, Abdulla Rahmatov (both 81 kg), Nureddin Aliyev, Said Huseynov (both 90 kg), Tunar Farzaliyev, Subhan Akhundov (both +90 kg) will compete.
The judokas will be led by Emin Iskandarov, the head coach of the youth boys' team, coaches Nijat Shikhalizade, Kotaro Sasaki, and Elnur Ismayilov, the head coach of the youth girls' team, coaches Amrah Ahmadov, Imamverdi Mammadov.
It should be noted that 91 athletes (50 boys, 41 girls) from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, along with our country, will test their strength in the judo competitions of the III CIS Games. The judo competitions will be held on October 4-5 at the Goygol Olympic Sports Complex.
