15 young judokas will represent Azerbaijan at the World Championships to be held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.
"Report" reports that 8 boys and 7 girls in 10 weight categories will compete for the title of champion.
The national team will compete in the mixed team competition on the last day of the tournament.
Emin Iskandarov, the head coach of the national youth boys' team, and coach Nijat Shixalizade will rely on Anar Guliyev, Rza Khalil (both 50 kg), Rasul Alizade, Mahammadali Huseynov (both 55 kg), Zeyd Alasgarov, Royal Gayibov (both 60 kg), Mahammad Agakishiyev (73 kg), and Subhan Akhundov (+90 kg).
Amin Mehdiyev (81 kg) will compete in mixed team competitions.
Elnur Ismayilov, the head coach of the national youth girls' team, and coach Amrah Ahmadov will give a chance to Gulshan Huseynova, Khadija Abdullayeva (both 44 kg), Narmin Agamirzazade, Leyla Alakbarova (both 48 kg), Aysun Mammadova (52 kg), Samaya Yusifli (57 kg) and Masuma Mammadli (70 kg).
It should be noted that 593 athletes (313 boys, 280 girls) from 75 countries will compete in the World Championship, which will last from August 27 to 31.
