The Azerbaijan national team, which performed successfully at the European Judo Championships among juniors held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, has returned to their homeland.
İdman.biz reports that our judokas were greeted at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by representatives of the federation, relatives, and media representatives.
Our national team completed the championship with a total of 6 medals, including 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze in individual competitions. Anar Guliyev (50 kg), Rasul Alizade (55 kg), Zeyd Alasgarov (60 kg) won gold, Narmin Agamirzazade (48 kg) won silver, and Gulshan Huseynova (44 kg and Leyla Alakbarova (48 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that in the end, the Azerbaijan national team took second place in the overall team score based on the quality of medals, and first place among boys.
