A new Olympic cycle begins for the Azerbaijan Judo team. Having won two gold medals at "Paris-2024", the team has set big goals for "Los Angeles-2028". Preparation is of particular importance due to the upcoming World Championship and ranking competitions to be held at home.
Idman.biz reports that head coach Slavko Tekic, in his statement to the European Judo Union website, saw the secret of success in the unity of tradition, innovation and trust:
"We have formed a universal style. We combine strength and technical precision, surprising opponents with surprises."
The German expert stated that the results are not only due to the dedication of the athletes, but also to the solidarity of the coaching staff and the support of the management:
"Trautman prepares the competition plan, and the management immediately approves it. We have been working this way for two years and the result is obvious. The biggest victory is the trust we have gained."
Tekic emphasized that Amina Abdelatif, the head coach of the women's national team, is also an important figure for the team. According to him, the success in Paris increased motivation:
"Athletes want to work harder. Everyone has a chance and if they continue persistently, there will be no limit to achievements."
