The Azerbaijan judo team continues its preparations for the European Championship, which will be held in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, in Baku.
İdman.Biz reports that an open training session for the media was organized today at the training base of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.
A total of 15 athletes - 9 male and 6 female judokas - are participating in the preparation process.
Athletes from Morocco, Bahrain, and Israel have also joined the training camp, along with Azerbaijan.
At the European Championship, our team will be led by Richard Trautman, head coach of the men's team, senior coaches Elkhan Mammadov, Elchin Ismayilov, Slavko Tekic and Robert Kravchik, as well as Amina Abdellatif, head coach of the women's team, and senior coach Sasha Herkenrat-Vimar.
Nazim Umbayev, a member of the judging panel of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, an international "A" category judge, will also be among the representatives of justice in the competition.
It should be noted that the European Championship will be held on April 16-19. 409 judokas (232 men and 177 women) from 46 countries will compete for 14 sets of medals in the tournament.
