The initial roster of the Azerbaijan judo team for the "Grand Slam" tournament to be held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, has been announced. Sport24.az reports that three athletes - Balabay Agayev, Turan Bayramov (both 60 kg) and Elshan Asadov (66 kg) will participate in the World Judo Tour competition.
The mentioned athletes have already distinguished themselves in "Grand Slam" tournaments during the season. Agayev won in Dushanbe, Bayramov won a silver medal in Tashkent, and Asadov took third place in Baku.
It should be noted that teams from 22 countries have already applied to participate in the tournament, which will be held on July 25-27.
