The preliminary squad of the Azerbaijan judo team for the "Grand Slam" tournament to be held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, has been announced.
Idman.biz reports that three athletes - Balabay Aghayev, Turan Bayramov (both 60 kg) and Elshan Asadov (66 kg) will go to the World Judo Tour competition.
The mentioned athletes have already distinguished themselves in the "Grand Slam" tournaments during the season. Aghayev won in Dushanbe, Bayramov won a silver medal in Tashkent, and Asadov was third in Baku.
It should be noted that teams from 22 countries have already applied to participate in the tournament, which will be held on July 25-27.
