The Azerbaijan Judo Federation has taken action regarding Hidayat Heydarov in accordance with internal disciplinary rules.
This was reported by the Federation in response to a request from "Report".
"Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) was not allowed to participate in the "Grand Slam" tournament held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, because he could not lose weight. The Azerbaijan Judo Federation has taken action in accordance with internal disciplinary rules," the organization emphasized.
It should be noted that Hidayat Heydarov won a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
