Azerbaijan competed against 12 teams in the European Championship

13 teams, including Azerbaijan, will participate in the mixed team competition at the European Judo Championship, which will be held on April 27 in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.

Idman.biz reports that this competition will be held after the judokas' individual performances at the European Championship.

15 athletes have been included in the national team for the team championship: Rashid Mammadaliyev, Ahmad Yusifov, Turan Bayramov, Ruslan Pashayev (all 73 kg), Zelim Tchkayev, Omar Rajabli, Murad Fatiyev (all 90 kg), Zelim Kotsoyev, Ushangi Kokauri (both +90 kg), Konul Aliyeva, Gultaj Mammadaliyeva, Fidan Alizade (all 57 kg), Gunel Hasanli, Sudaba Aghayeva (both 70 kg) and Nigar Suleymanova (+70 kg).

The national teams of France, Georgia, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland and Serbia will also compete in the team competition of the European Championship.
