Organizing judo tournaments in the regions promotes the development of this sport.
According to a "Report" correspondent sent to Guba, this was stated by Rashad Rasulllu, Executive Vice President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF).
He made a statement after the European Cup held among junior judokas in the mentioned region:
"Winning medals in these competitions is also important. But the most important thing is to gain new athletes."
The official of the organization also spoke about the possible organization of the "Grand Slam" tournament in the regions in the coming years: "This tournament has its own requirements. For now, there are no favorable conditions for the "Grand Slam" to take place in the regions. For this reason, we use the National Gymnastics Arena. Of course, we would also like this important competition to take place in some region of Azerbaijan."
It should be noted that the European Cup, which started today, will end on May 4.
