One of the main activities of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) is the development of judo in the regions and the improvement of infrastructure.
Idman.biz reports that since 2022, the federation has distributed more than 10,000 tatami mats to 120 gyms in Baku and the regions, providing more than 2,000 young athletes with the opportunity to train for free.
In 2022-2025, judo halls were opened by ACF in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Agstafa, Zagatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, Agali village of Zangilan region, Zira settlement of Baku, Agdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar and Gakh. The next judo halls will start operating in Imishli, Shabran and Mosul village of Zagatala.
