Six judokas from Azerbaijan will be among the selected participants in the World Championship, which will start on June 13 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Idman.biz reports that two of our athletes in the 73 kg weight category will be among the selected.
One of them is the leader of the list, Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov, and the other is Rashid Mammadaliyev, who is sixth.
Another Olympic champion, Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg), is also first in his weight category. Zelim Tckaev (81 kg) is fifth in the ranking, Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg) is fourth, and Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) will be the sixth selected athlete.
It should be noted that judokas with a high ranking start the competition with matches against lower-ranked opponents or join the fight directly from the second stage.
