The Azerbaijani national team performed successfully on the second day of the European Judo Championship among veterans, which is held in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
Idman.biz reports that our representatives won 3 gold and 1 bronze medals.
In the M-4 age category, Babek Hajiyev (60 kg), Vagif Karimov (73 kg) and Emil Huseynov (100 kg) defeated all their rivals and became European champions. In the M-3 age category, Samir Ismayilov (81 kg) took third place.
It should be noted that Farhad Rajabli (M-8, 90 kg) also won a gold medal on the first day of the tournament. Currently, our national team is in 4th place in the overall ranking among 37 countries with 5 medals (4 gold, 1 bronze).
