"Sabah" team was able to easily analyze the "Petrocub" team.
"Report" reports that this was said by "Sabah"'s head coach Valdas Dambrauskas at the press conference after the match against "Petrocub" (Moldova) in the II qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
The experienced specialist stated that the match was difficult:
"It was a very difficult game. The opponent had already played 7 matches before this game. We analyzed them well based on these meetings. In other words, we had enough material to analyze the opponent. We came here not just to defend or look for a chance in counter-attacks, but to show our style of play on the field, to control the match. True, there were ups and downs in the game, especially in the first half. Sometimes we couldn't fully show what we wanted. In the second half, especially in the first 5-7 minutes, we had some difficulties."
He emphasized that there are points to work on:
"After the goal, we closed the match very well. Although the opponent tried to put pressure, we were able to control the ball, we found the free player, which is exactly the style I want my team to play. Winning away in Europe is very important. We kept our goal untouched, we scored two goals - this is a good result, but the work is not over yet. In a two-legged tie, nothing is ever decided in the first game. Now we have to go back and prepare for the return game."
It should be noted that the "Petrocub" - "Sabah" match ended with a 2:0 victory for the Azerbaijani representative.
