The Azerbaijani national team won 2 gold and 2 bronze medals at the European Youth Para Games today.

On the second day of the European Youth Para Games, all three of our parataekwondo athletes climbed the podium.
Our flag bearer Sabir Zeynalov (K44, 58 kg) started the competition from the semi-finals. Our athlete won a gold medal by defeating his teammate Aykhan Nuriyev in the semi-finals and his Turkish opponent in the final.
Aykhan Nuriyev (K44, 58 kg) won a bronze medal.
16-year-old parataekwondo athlete Samaya Hasanova (K44, 47 kg) also joined the competition from the semi-finals. S.Hasanova, who defeated her Turkish opponents in the semi-finals and finals, climbed to the highest step of the podium in her first international tournament.
17-year-old para-judoka Omar Gurbanov (J2, 62 kg) lost in the 1/4 finals, but defeated his Spanish and Moldovan opponents in two consecutive consolation matches, and the Turkish athlete in the bronze medal match, winning the bronze medal of the European Youth Para Games.
