Lionel Messi has avoided disqualification for not participating in the All-Star Game with the MLS team against the Mexican League team.
İdman.biz reports that this was stated by Inter Miami head coach Javier Mascherano in his statement.
The Argentine specialist criticized the organizers. He emphasized that the players have played too many games recently and have no time to rest. In addition, Mascherano said that it would be more appropriate to organize the game on the weekend.
Based on the fans' vote, Inter Miami players Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba were included in the MLS team. But they refused to participate in the game, citing illness, and according to the rules, this could result in a one-match penalty for them. In the end, the MLS League leadership did not punish the stars.
It should be noted that the game ended with a 3:1 victory for the MLS team.
