Barcelona president Joan Laporta has stated that UEFA chief Aleksander Čeferin is in talks with representatives of the Super League.
"Report" reports, referring to "Mundo Deportivo", about this.
"The Super League issue arose, which led to disagreements, different opinions, and some disputes. I have always tried to play my role in establishing relations between the Super League and UEFA. Now the Super League is in dialogue with UEFA. Aleksander Čeferin has appointed several people from UEFA to negotiate with representatives of the Super League. He has also spoken with a team that includes Super League CEO Bernd Reichart and lawyers from the clubs that make up the Super League. A principle agreement is being reached on three blocks. A block where more agreement and coordination can be achieved relates to the technological platform. I think this is good news and both sides are well-intentioned. "Barça" is capable of reaching an agreement. I think it is important that this agreement is reached as soon as possible for the good of football. The Court of the European Union has a decision supporting the Super League's position. I consider this important, but it is more important that the football world remains united. I see great preparation from the UEFA president. And I insist that Čeferin is a capable person who can be trusted," he said.
