Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta commented on his team's defeat in the match against Bournemouth in the 32nd round of the English Premier League.
Idman.Biz reports that the game ended 2:1 in favor of Bournemouth.
"It’s disappointing. It’s a big blow and now it’s about how we react. This team is not used to not winning 11 games in a row - they did a lot of things right. We weren’t very efficient. Their first chance in our penalty area - a deflection, poor defensive play and it’s a goal. After that we have to pick ourselves up.
You expect a different game in the second half. We did a lot of strange things today. Although, usually a lot of consistency. These things can happen, it's football.
The players are suffering a lot. And they should be. They have to accept it, stand up and fight again, otherwise you will be out. There’s a big week ahead, a lot at stake. We’re still in a good position in both competitions," Arteta told BBC.
Arsenal has 70 points and is at the top of the tournament table. Bournemouth has risen to ninth place with 45 points.
