"As I always say, we are still in negotiations with several clubs, including "Shamakhi".
This was stated by "Shamakhi" forward Karim Rossi in an interview with sportnet.az after the 0:3 defeat against "Neftchi" in the 31st round match of the Misli Premier League.
We present that interview.
- Could you share your impressions about the game...
- It was a difficult game for us. "Neftchi" deserved the victory, they were the better side today. They really played a very strong game, they have quality players. But we couldn't put on the game we wanted to show. Our plans were disrupted because we conceded an early goal. I congratulate "Neftchi", they deserved the victory.
- Your contract expires at the end of the season. What is the situation regarding your future? Are you thinking of leaving, or are negotiations still ongoing?
- As I always say, we are still in negotiations with several clubs, including "Shamakhi". My contract expires in two weeks. I thank the club for the opportunity it gave me this season. It was nice for me to be here and help the team. Now we'll see - will I stay in Azerbaijan or go abroad. I don't have a final agreement with any club at the moment. I want to finish the season and then make a decision.
- If you receive a better offer from Azerbaijan, would you still consider playing here?
- Yes, I think I would like to stay here. I feel good, and my family is happy here too. I like the league, and I don't think I played badly this season. Therefore, staying in Azerbaijan would be logical for me. But anything is possible in football, a lot can change. It doesn't just depend on me, there are many factors. We'll see.
