Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Ibrahim Hasanov attributed his failure to win a gold medal at the U-17 World Championship in Baku to the mistakes he made.
Idman.Biz reports that the silver medalist athlete evaluated his performance in the competition in an interview with journalists.
"I didn't stay without a medal, but I participated in the competition to win a gold medal. I made a number of mistakes during the matches and lost because of that.
Unfortunately, our other freestyle wrestlers were also unable to win medals. I wanted to raise the head of each of them by winning a gold medal. But I couldn't achieve my goal. I believe that our results will be better in the next competitions", - Hasanov said.
Ibrahim Hasanov finished the World Championship in second place, losing to Iranian representative Benyamin Mayvan in the final with a score of 1:5.
