The transfer of Ivory Coast and German football club Leipzig's winger Yan Diomande to Real Madrid may be delayed due to a dispute between agents.
Sport.Biz reports, citing Diario AS, that the player's former representative, Max Gradeline, who heads the Maxidel Management company, has filed a complaint with FIFA. The company claims that Diomande breached the terms of the representation contract.
According to the information, Diomande's transfer from Leganes to Leipzig was carried out by Maxidel Management. The player's negotiations with Real, on the other hand, were conducted by his new representative, Roc Nation. The former agent claims that his rights related to the transfer commission have been violated.
The matter has been referred to FIFA for investigation, which may delay the formalization of the transfer's international registration document. During the investigation, FIFA may grant the player temporary registration permission, postpone the transfer, and if a serious rule violation is detected, refuse to confirm the transfer in the system.
It is reported that an agreement has been reached between Real and Leipzig on a transfer of approximately 120 million euros (232 million AZN). The 19-year-old player is expected to sign a contract with the Madrid representative until the summer of 2031.
