Former UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal believes that if star footballer Lionel Messi had engaged in mixed martial arts, he could have succeeded in this field. Sport24.az reports that Masvidal said this in an interview with the Sports Business Journal.
According to the athlete, the Argentine footballer has the physical attributes and discipline that would allow him to perform in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts - ed.).
Jorge added that Messi is a phenomenal athlete: "He is one of the most disciplined people who has lived in this world. The physique is excellent, but fighting is something else. With the physical capabilities that God gave him and his way of thinking, I am sure that if he took this seriously and devoted enough time, he could show a lot".
