NTD team's head coach Tahir Bakshiyev shared his thoughts after the defeat to "Neftchi" (99:119) in the play-off stage of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
Idman.Biz reports that the expert emphasized that despite the equal level of struggle, the opponent's three-point shooting performance was decisive.
Bakshiyev noted that they started the game well and had chances to turn the situation in their favor at certain moments:
"There was an equal fight on the field. There were moments when we could have turned the game in our favor. But "Neftchi" is a strong team. Today, their three-point shots worked, and the accuracy rate was about 50%. It is difficult to win against a team that shows such statistics."
Congratulating the opponent on the victory, the head coach focused on the decisive match that will determine the name of the semi-finalist:
"There is a third game ahead. We will prepare. The team that wants the victory more will advance to the semi-finals."
