Azerbaijan's "Sabah" basketball club has strengthened its roster with American defender Jerry Blakes.

The 31-year-old and 1.93-meter-tall basketball player has considerable experience in Europe. He is known as a dynamic attacker and has the ability to play in both the first and second positions. Throughout his career, Jerry Blakes has played in strong leagues such as Europe and China, has been a Swedish champion, and has also studied and played in the "Arizona State" University team.
C. Blakes's transfer expands "Sabah"'s rotation in foreign positions and will increase the team's offensive potential before the match against the French representative "Chalon" in the FIBA Champions League. This meeting will start today at the National Gymnastics Arena at 20:00 Baku time.
