There are no weak opponents in the Champions League.
"Report" reports that these words were said by the head coach of the "Sabah" basketball team, Rimas Kurtinaytis, in a statement to the club's press service.
He shared his thoughts on our opponents in Group B in the regular season:
"We had no illusions about the draw. We did not divide the opponents into strong and weak before the draw. As for our opponents in Group B, "Alba Berlin" will perform under the FIBA flag again after a 24-year break. This team has been a permanent resident of the Euroleague for many years. Its level is known. I think it is one of the favorite teams to win the tournament. As for "Nymburk", this team has previously been "Sabah"'s opponent in the FIBA Europe Cup. It is a disciplined team with a quality basketball team. Last season they advanced to the 1/4 finals of the Champions League. There are also good teams among our potential opponents in the qualifying stage. I played as a player in the French representative "Elan Chalon".
