The Azerbaijani national team will compete in Group A at the 3x3 Basketball World Cup. Ratomir Delic, head coach of the Azerbaijani women's national 3x3 basketball team, shared his thoughts on the World Cup.
Sport24.az reports that the expert said that participation in the competition, which will be held in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, on June 1-7, is a great source of pride and responsibility for the team.
"Participating in a high-level tournament such as the World Cup is the biggest dream of every athlete and coach since childhood. Competing for the world championship against the strongest teams is both a great source of pride and a serious responsibility for us," said Ratomir Delic.
According to the head coach, the team will try to put all its attention, energy and fighting spirit on the field every 10 minutes:
"Our goal is to enter every game with only the thought of winning and to achieve successful results by representing our country properly. The world's strongest 3x3 basketball players and high-level teams will participate in the tournament. However, we are not afraid of any opponent. I believe that if we maintain our current focus and game discipline, we have the strength to compete against any team."
Ratomir Delic emphasized that the main goal of the team is to show their game on the field and reveal their potential to the maximum.
"If we can do this, we can be satisfied with our performance regardless of the result," he added.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team is in Group A with the national teams of the Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic and Madagascar at the World Cup.
