"Quba" head coach: "Ganja" is not as strong a team as they say

"Today we will go out to win the game. Sport24.az reports that this was said by Shahriyar Asgarov, the head coach of "Quba", in an interview with the club's press service.

The experienced specialist shared his thoughts before the game against "Ordu" within the framework of the 10th round of ABL: "Teams have strengthened their squads. Each of them tried to correct their shortcomings. Probably, "Ordu" also used this time and added new players to the squad. We want to win today. The game will show everything."

Asgarov also evaluated Group B, in which they are fighting: "The triarchy continues. "Shaki", "Ganja" and we have played one game less. "Ordu" also has a victory over "Ganja", but I don't consider it a sensation. You know, "Ganja" is not as strong a team as they say. We fought on an equal footing with that team for three halves. Only at the end did the players' fatigue take its toll. Their squad is wide, they can rotate. We may still have problems with this. Because we couldn't expand our squad. Only Fikret Alakbarov is an exception. His arrival to the team will greatly facilitate our work. He is my favorite, very good and smart player. We will try to eliminate the shortcomings in the team with Fikret's arrival."

The head coach also emphasized that long breaks sometimes affect the rhythm of the game. He said that it was inevitable, it had to be: "The team that can make good use of this holiday will win. I think the next stage of the championship will be more interesting. Of course, we will also fight for leadership. Our team is not bad. We will fight to achieve certain successes."
