NTD basketball player Kobi Montgomery talks about the team, the league and life in Azerbaijan

"Preparation for the next games is going well. We had the opportunity to recover both physically and mentally. We must be fully prepared for the upcoming games. I can't blame anyone specifically. I think we have the potential to become a great team in this league. But at the same time, we are the youngest team in the championship. It makes things difficult in a league full of experienced players. Still, I believe we can change the situation." Sport24.az reports that NTD basketball player Kobi Montgomery said this in a statement to the club's press service.

He also shared his thoughts on the squad: "The new players who have joined the team have helped us a lot. But there are also difficulties along the way, because everyone has to adapt to new roles. If we all have a winning mentality, it will definitely benefit us."

The American basketball player said that the Azerbaijan championship is organized at a high level:

"I would say that basketball is played at a very high level in the Azerbaijan Basketball League. The league is very competitive. Since this is my first year in professional basketball, I didn't know exactly what to expect. But it is very positive for me to gain such experience."

Montgomery stated that his main difficulty is related to language:

"It's great to live in Azerbaijan. I'm more of a homebody, so I haven't been able to travel much to fully experience the country. But I haven't had any problems either. The only thing that is difficult for me is the language barrier."

It should be noted that NTD is currently last - sixth with 7 points in Group A of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
