Lankaran basketball player Nmeso Nnebedum believes that the Azerbaijan championship is very competitive.
Idman.Biz reports that the American player said this in an interview with the club's press service.
He said that all rivals are strong: "I try to improve myself as much as possible, to be the best in the team. I don't want to look too far into the future, but I want to have a successful season both as a team and individually. This will help me play at the highest level possible and become a good basketball player. The Azerbaijan championship is very competitive. All teams, both in the upper and lower ranks, are strong. There are players of different levels here, and everyone is ready for competition. Our goal is to be fully prepared for the upcoming game with Quba, to win and show our potential. To be successful, you need to learn to fight difficulties, and I think we are going through this stage now."
The basketball player also shared his thoughts about Lankaran: "Before joining the team, I did some research. I learned that Lankaran is a rural area with a tropical climate and is known for its fruits and tea. I like it here. It's a quiet place, and the people are very friendly. My favorite place is the shopping center in the city center. My favorite food is chicken kebab."
The American player also distinguished Baku:
"Baku is a bigger city. I would compare it to Chicago. It is a place with a lot of movement and traffic day and night. Lankaran is a quieter region full of nature and animals. I like Baku more than Lankaran. But I know that Lankaran is a great place to relax (laughs)."
