Another Azerbaijani club has a new sponsor.
According to İdman.biz, referring to prosport.az, it is about the "Ganja" basketball club, which will compete in Group A, where the strongest compete this season.
The Republican Committee of the Azerbaijan Free Trade Union of Education Workers (ATİAHİ) will sponsor this club from now on. The head of the club will be Araz Pashayev, who was elected chairman of ATİAHİ on August 22 last year.
Araz Pashayev was born in Shaki on July 4, 1983. He previously served as the chairman of the Board of the Education Student Loan Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education since 2021. Currently, he teaches the subject of "Labor and Social Security Law" at the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations.
Since the leadership has not been officially announced yet, the club has not announced new transfers either. However, we have information that the team with the new leadership held training camp in Guba due to the CIS Games in Ganja and is preparing for the championship.
It should be noted that the president of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation is the Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev. Previously, the "Landau" school was involved as a sponsor of the "Absheron Lions" team along this line.
