Today, the Paris court will consider the request for the extradition to the United States of 26-year-old Russian basketball player Daniil Kasatkin, who was detained in France in June on charges of cybercrime.
İdman.biz reports with reference to foreign media that the court will begin at 14:00 local time (16:00 Baku time - ed.).
According to the extradition order presented by the United States and referred to by the judge, D. Kasatkin faces up to 5 years in prison for internet fraud and up to 20 years for technology fraud in the United States.
Recall that during the process held on September 10, the investigating judge asked the athlete whether he agreed to the extradition. D. Kasatkin refused extradition. Now the court must decide whether to extradite him to the United States.
Note that D. Kasatkin is a graduate of the CSKA sports school. He played for Khimki and National Basketball Association (NBA) clubs.
