"Şəki" basketball club does not easily lose in home matches.
"Report" reports that the head coach Bedri Meriç said this in a statement to the press service of the regional representative.
The expert shared his views on the match with NTD, which they faced in the IV round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League:
"First of all, I congratulate my team on the victory. I thank our fans who support us. We have a habit from last season. We don't lose easily in Şəki. This season, Şəki will be a difficult trip for the A group teams as well. We can show our game here. I am satisfied with the performance in attack, but not in defense. Today, both Ercan Donat and Rashid Abbasov were removed with technical fouls. We need to solve this problem. We need them on our field. Since they received early fouls, we cannot use their services on the field. The fact that 2 of our local players faced this problem prevented the score from being high. We are experiencing a long player problem."
The head coach said that they faced his son as rivals for the first time:
"NTD also performed well despite playing with 4 foreigners. It was also a special match for me. I faced my son Derin Berköz as a rival for the first time. It was a very nice feeling. I wish Derin success in his career. I hope it will benefit Azerbaijani basketball."
It should be noted that the A group match held at the Şəki Olympic Sports Complex ended with the victory of "Şəki" with a score of 88:81.
