Yonas Tibayan, a basketball player for the Philippines' "Mindoro" team, suffered multiple injuries after a powerful blow from Mikole Sorela of "Gensan Warriors" during a local MPBL league match.

As a result, Sorela was fined 200,000 Philippine pesos (approximately $3,500 USD) and banned for life from the MPBL.
He delivered a sudden and harsh blow to Tibayan during an attack by "Gensan Warriors". After that, the opposing player fell to the ground, clutching his head, and was unable to recover for a long time. He left the court on a stretcher.
Jennifer M. Cruz, the owner of the "Mindoro" club, wrote on social media about the incident: "The medical procedure applied to Yonas Tibayan, who was subjected to Mikole Sorela's blow, was successfully completed. After a lengthy surgery yesterday, the injuries to the jaw, cheek, and teeth were removed.
According to doctors, he had numerous lacerated wounds in his mouth, and his front teeth were knocked out. His condition is currently stable and he continues his treatment in the hospital."
