Alperen Şengün, the 23-year-old Turkish basketball player of the Houston Rockets, admitted that playing for the Turkish national team at EuroBasket 2025 helped him prepare better for the new NBA season.
Idman.biz reports that the Turkish national team took second place in the European Championship ("EuroBasket 2025"), losing to Germany in the final.
"Did playing in EuroBasket help me prepare for the NBA season? Of course. I didn't rest for a long time after playing for the national team, and that was good for me. I came back here in shape and ready for the season. I feel better physically," Şengün said.
In the 2024/25 NBA regular season, Şengün played in 76 games, averaging 19.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists.
