The Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation continues its campaign to promote this sport.
According to Idman.Biz, as part of this process, a trip to Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur was carried out with the joint support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Olympic Committee under the motto "Wrestling in Karabakh". Officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Wrestling Federation, as well as well-known wrestlers, participated in the trip.
The delegation was in Khankendi today. The guests first visited secondary school No. 4 named after Nizami Ganjavi. Famous wrestlers such as Eldaniz Azizli, Rafig Huseynov, Maria Stadnik, and Rasul Chunayev were greeted with great enthusiasm and interest by the schoolchildren. Teenagers who took pictures with famous wrestlers and received autographs from them got acquainted with certain wrestling elements on the wrestling mat built in the school stadium.
The games held under the leadership of Oyan Nazariani, the head coach of the national beach wrestling team, added extra color to the event. Students were presented with gifts from AGF.
It should be noted that the purpose of the event is to further increase the popularity of wrestling, to organize communication between famous wrestlers and schoolchildren, and to instill in the younger generation the idea of "a healthy mind in a healthy body" and a spirit of patriotism.
