Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Rafig Huseynov has commented on his election as a member of the Athletes' Commission of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).
"Report" informs that the 36-year-old athlete wrote about this on his personal Instagram account.
The experienced wrestler said that it was a special and proud day for him:
"I have been officially elected as a member of the Athletes' Commission. I will try to cope with this responsible and at the same time honorable position properly. I will do my best to convey the voice of athletes, protect their rights and contribute to the creation of a healthier sports environment. I thank everyone who trusted me."
