The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has disqualified wrestler Aslan Abakarov for 36 months.
Idman.biz reports that this was due to the presence of prohibited substances or their metabolites or markers in the athlete's sample, and the athlete's use or attempted use of prohibited substances or prohibited methods.
The sanction, which was applied on February 7, will expire on February 7, 2028.
It should be noted that the 21-year-old wrestler won a bronze medal in the 97 kg weight category at the Azerbaijan Championship held in December 2024.
