Azerbaijani beach wrestler Vusal Aliyev (80 kg) performed successfully at Stage III of the World Series held in Morocco.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Wrestling Federation that the wrestler, who successfully performed in the qualifying stage of the competition held on the Casablanca beach, qualified for Group B.
V. Aliyev, who defeated wrestlers from Kenya, France and Serbia in the group, lost to Greek Christos Christoforidis in the last seconds of the semi-final. Our wrestler won a bronze medal by defeating Frenchman Hugo Quenot.
Another beach wrestler, Ibrahim Yusubov (90 kg), took 2nd place in the group and could not continue the fight.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan was represented at the competition by two wrestlers under the leadership of head coach Oyan Nazariani.
