The "Victory Cup" in wrestling, organized in Antalya, Turkey, has ended. Sport24.az reports that 5 of our wrestlers climbed the podium on the last day of the traditional tournament.
In freestyle wrestling, Nihad Suleymanli (80 kg) and Hakim Tagiyev (110 kg) became champions by defeating all their opponents.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, Zaka Yusubov (80 kg) and Mahammad Mustafayev (110 kg) achieved the same result. Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg) won a bronze medal.
Our freestyle wrestling team finished the traditional tournament with 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals, taking 2nd place in the team standings with 147 points. Our Greco-Roman wrestling team collected 169 points with 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals, and took 2nd place in the overall ranking.
