Two Azerbaijani wrestlers have reached the finals at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Idman.Biz reports that Ruzanna Mammadova, competing in the women's 62 kg weight category, advanced to the final after defeating Nigina Sabirova of Uzbekistan 6:0 in the semi-final.
Islam Bazarqanov, competing in the 57 kg freestyle wrestling, reached the 1/8 final after his opponent Tambi Roland (Cameroon) was disqualified. In the following stages, Bazarqanov won 4:2 against Ali Momenijoujadeni (Iran) in the 1/4 final and then secured a 10:0 victory over Said Zazai (Afghanistan) in the semi-final, advancing to the final.
It should be noted that the Islamic Games will end on November 21.
