It was reported that our wrestler Yusif Dursunov, representing our country in the 125 kg weight category, won with a complete advantage (10:0) against Romanian Brian Samuel Techereanu and advanced to the 1/4 finals. Y. Dursunov defeated Armenian wrestler Khachatur Khachatryan 9:3 in the next stage and advanced to the semi-finals.
In addition, Ramik Heybatov, who represents our country in the 70 kg weight category, won confidently against his Georgian opponent in the consolation match. He was superior to Goga Otinashvili with a score of 6:2. Heybatov will wrestle for a bronze medal in the evening session.
Aghanazar Novruzov, who is competing in the 74 kg weight category, started the competition with a victory. Our wrestler defeated Turkish Mohammed Halit Ozmus 4:1 and advanced to the 1/4 finals. Novruzov also performed successfully in the next match, defeating Moldovan Ion Marku 6:1 and qualifying for the semi-finals.
Ali Tsokayev, who competes in the 92 kg weight category, defeated Bulgarian Sali Saliyev with a complete advantage (13:0) and advanced to the 1/4 finals.

Jeyhun Allahverdiyev (61 kg), Aghanazar Novruzov (74 kg), Vasif Khudiyev (86 kg), Ali Tsokayev (92 kg) and Yusif Dursunov (125 kg) will have their first matches.
Also today, Vasif Bagirov (57 kg) and Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79 kg) will compete in the final, and Musa Aghayev (65 kg) and Zafar Aliyev (97 kg) will wrestle for a bronze medal. Ramik Heybatov (70 kg) will compete in a consolation match.
